Exporting Radars to a public solution

Requires at least Maintainer role

This page describes how to export Ginc Radar as JSON file for use in Ginc Radar Public.

Prerequisites

If you are using Ginc Radar Public you may want to export data from a closed solution to a public one without manually creating JSON file. However, some technologies may be restricted by your security policy, or you may not want to publish some internal or legacy technologies.

Keep reading and you will learn how to deal with such cases.

Exporting Radar to JSON

To export Radar as JSON file:

  1. On the left sidebar, at the top, select Home Logo.

  2. Select the desired radar from the list of radars.

  3. Find the download button in the filter group and click on it.

The result will be a Radar json file that is fully compatible for use with Ginc Radar Public.

Setting up a Technology Filter for Export

Single

You can manage a public flag for one technology:

  • When creating an element

  • When editing an element

Bulk

You can use bulk editing of public flag in list of items.

To edit bulk:

  1. On the left sidebar, at the top, select Home Logo.

  2. Select the desired radar from the list of radars.

  3. On the left sidebar select Items.

  4. On the Items page click on Select public.

  5. Edit the checkboxes to the left of the technology names

  6. Click on Save Changes
